The Farm Show

Yes, so another year comes. And with it, here in central PA, is our area farm show. Now it may seem odd because there are literally farms everywhere around here. So why so we need an entire arena dedicated to it? I have no idea. However, my kids were super excited to see cows for some reason. We literally pass cows almost every day while driving somewhere. But, they were in awe of seeing them up close I suppose.

My dad has never been to a farm show either. Seeing that he grew up on a farm, I'm sure he thought it was quite funny to see hundreds of people oohing and aahing over farm animals. But, they do have some unique breeds of animals there. There are enormous bunnies, weird colored chickens, tons of goats and sheep and of course, TONS of cows.

So, I invited myself to tag along with my parents. They probably would of had a nice time walking around leisurely and reading through some of the exhibits. My kids put an abrupt stop to that and notoriously pulled them in every direction for 4 hours. My parents have nothing but love for them so were good sports about the whole day.

Here's the ironic part: If you ask my kids about the farm show they will say their favorite part about the day was riding a school bus and riding a carousel. We had to park in a different parking lot so they shuttled us to the complex on school buses. And one of the exhibits brilliantly brought in a carousel and charged kids $2 for a 30 second ride and probably made millions over the week. So, nothing to do with animals. Although Titus did mention all the pooping that was done right in front of us. At least it's animal related!
